Intellectual Property Rights
Other than the content you own, under these Terms, PA Private Hire Taxi Rental and/or its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Website.
You are granted a limited license only for the purpose of viewing the material contained on this Website.
Rental Agreement
This Agreement is entered into between:
(the "Company")
and
(the "Hirer") (collectively, the "Parties")
Rental Period
The Rental Period runs from the date and hour of the Vehicle pick-up until the return of the Vehicle to the Company. The minimum Rental Period is 4 weeks. After this period, the Rental can be cancelled with 7 days' notice prior to the rental fees falling due, or as agreed by the Parties.
Early termination may incur a cancellation charge as defined in Clause 14 (i), at the discretion of the Company or Insurance Company. The Rental Period continues until the Vehicle is returned.
Persons Who May Drive the Vehicle
Only the Hirer named in this Agreement may drive the Vehicle, and only if they hold a current and valid driver’s licence appropriate for the Vehicle.
Prohibited Use of the Vehicle
The Vehicle must not be driven: (a) Under the influence of alcohol or drugs; (b) In an unsafe condition; (c) In races, tests, or contests; (d) By anyone not named in this Agreement; (e) By anyone disqualified or unlicensed; (f) Recklessly or wilfully causing damage; (g) If the Hirer is issued with an infringement notice or demonstrates careless driving.
Rental Fees
The Hirer agrees to pay:
Rent: As agreed
- Billing Cycle: Weekly
The Hirer’s Obligations
The Hirer shall: (a) Maintain radiator water and battery levels; (b) Maintain oil levels; (c) Maintain tyre pressure; (d) Secure and lock the Vehicle when not in use.
The Company’s Obligations
The Company shall: (a) Supply a safe and roadworthy Vehicle; (b) Cover normal wear and tear costs; (c) Not be liable for income loss due to breakdowns or tyre issues; (d) Handle maintenance during working hours (Mon–Fri 10:00am–6:00pm).
Accidents and Repairs
(a) Report damage within 24 hours or a late fee of £500 + VAT applies; (b) Take photographs of accident scenes; (c) Do not repair without authorisation; (d) Do not interfere with vehicle systems.
Vehicle Use Restrictions
The Hirer shall not: (a) Sublet the Vehicle; (b) Allow unauthorised drivers; (c) Operate the Vehicle under the influence; (d) Participate in races or tests; (e) Tow any vehicle; (f) Break traffic laws; (g) Overload the Vehicle; (h) Drive without a valid licence.
Return of the Vehicle
(a) Return the Vehicle at end of Rental Period or arrange extension; (b) Return in same condition as received; (c) Fuel shortfall charged plus £20 + VAT admin fee; (d) Dirty return incurs a £50 + VAT valeting charge.
Vehicle Tracking
Vehicles are tracked. Unpaid rental will lead to immobilisation after 48 hours and a £50 + VAT daily fee applies. Recovery costs are the Hirer’s responsibility.
Immediate Termination
The Company may terminate the Agreement and recover the Vehicle if any term is breached. Includes abuse, slander, or negative online behaviour.
Charges & Damages Tariff
(a) Alloy wheel: £60 + VAT per wheel; (b) Key tag: £5 + VAT; (c) Interior damage: Full cost + VAT; (d) Dents/scuffs: £130 + VAT per panel; (e) Major damage: Full cost + VAT; (f) Glass damage: Full cost + VAT; (g) Smoking: £100 + VAT valet fee; (h) Repossession visit: £150 + VAT; (i) Lost keys: Full replacement + £20 admin + VAT; (j) Early termination: £100 + VAT; (k) Damaged tyres: £50 + VAT per tyre; (l) Insurance swap (non-breakdown): £50 + VAT.
The Hirer authorises the Company to charge all applicable fees to their nominated card.
